A Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) adds prestige to your book and shows that a real publisher has accepted your work. It enables libraries to help file your book in its proper place and is yet another means of identification.
One (1) single LCCN per book title is issued by the Library of Congress. We will send it to you and it must be included on the copyright page. Upon publication, we send the Library of Congress one (1) copy of your book.
Description
Picky Press is a registered publisher with the Library of Congress. We will file for a control number from them for your book. Once we receive a number, we will email it to you for your records, and it will be included on the copyright page of your book. As your publisher, Picky Press is responsible for sending one “Best Edition” copy of your book to the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. This service is included in the price.
Once your book is published and released for distribution, we will send a copy directly to the Library of Congress. Upon request, we can send you the tracking number (or sign you up for tracking), and let you know when it has arrived at its destination.
Note: Books are included in the Library of Congress collection at their own discretion, and we have no control over their acceptance. On the rare occasion that a book may not be accepted, it is non-returnable and the price is non-refundable. The Library of Congress does not notify us if a rejection occurs.
